Mug

This mug has a rich dark glaze, then Mark made a wavy finger swipe to reveal the clay underneath that then got salted during the firing.  He added the white dots, maybe snowmen on a hillside? Finally the golden ash glaze on the rim melted like caramel onto the shoulder. Fabulous.

We call these barrel mugs, and they are a joy to hold and to use. Here's Mark making one.
