Tall Tumbler or Vase ~ 8.5"H
Elegant tall tumbler or vase with brown kaolin slip, stems are figure swipes through the iron slip/glaze that revealed the salt glaze. Blossoms of blue glass runs and yellow and white dots. It's all wonderful.
Mark uses one of these as a drinking tumbler, but it doubles very nicely as a useful vase.
Here's Mark on the origin of this shape. "Tea drinking has fueled pottery making across the globe. Vessels are required. Bowls for the Japanese Tea Ceremony, teacups and saucers for English tea-time and mugs here in the US are easy examples. Here in the South iced tea is a favorite drink, so I created these tall tumblers or Iced Tea Ceremony Vessels, (ITCV) as I like to call them."
