Pitcher

So much going on here! Elegant large russet pitcher with abstract floral motif. The stems are figure swipes through the iron slip/glaze that revealed the salt glaze with blossoms of  blue glass runs and yellow and white dots. The neck is a luminous, jade-like celadon glaze that melted onto the shoulder of the pitcher from the extreme heat of the wood firing.  

And this tall pitcher holds enough to fill a table of glasses with water or iced tea, and it's so light and balanced you can still lift it easily!
